Patrick Byrne

Patrick Byrne is a self-described "classical liberal," a firm believer in the importance of market freedom and education to national success.

Following the 2006 death of noted economist Milton Friedman, Byrne assumed the chairmanship of the Friedman Foundation for School Choice (now known as "EdChoice"), which continues to lead the school choice movement across the United States.

Patrick Byrne received his formal education at a number of prestigious institutions prior to establishing a successful career in business and corporate leadership.

The University of Stanford. In 1996, Byrne earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from Stanford.

Cambridge University Byrne graduated from graduate school in 1989, earning a Master's degree in Philosophy.

Dartmouth University. Byrne graduated from Dartmouth in 1985 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Asian studies and philosophy.
